About the Katzberg Institute
Katzberg Institute for Career Advancement is an independent, U.S.-based education organization offering short, employer-aligned certificate programs that strengthen early-career applications. Our programs are designed to complement college coursework by helping learners demonstrate clear, role-specific skills and present more focused applications for early career opportunities. Students across multiple states use Katzberg certificates to strengthen their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interviews. We focus on clarity, practical relevance, and job-aligned skill development.
Why We're Offering This
Arizona and Texas each play a critical role in the nation's industrial and economic future.
Arizona has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing semiconductor hubs in the United States, driven by growth in advanced manufacturing and technology supply networks. These environments benefit from workers who understand key supply chain concepts and how they apply within semiconductor production contexts.
Texasis also seeing expanding investment in advanced manufacturing, electronics, and semiconductor-related operations, including large-scale facilities, specialized equipment suppliers, and complex logistics networks. Supply chain roles in these environments often involve long lead times, specialized materials, and operational reliability considerations.
This initiative expands access to practical, industry-relevant skill development for:
- Low-income residents seeking upward mobility
- University and community college
- Recent graduates and jobseekers
- Career switchers entering supply chain roles
- Early-career operations, logistics, technology, or manufacturing workers
What the Certificate Teaches
Foundational Supply Chain Analysis Skills (Both States)
- Demand planning & forecasting
- Inventory optimization & safety stock modeling
- Supplier evaluation & risk mapping
- Capacity, lead-time & constraint analysis
- KPI dashboards & data communication
- Network mapping & logistics planning
Semiconductor Emphasis (Arizona & Texas)
- General concepts involved in semiconductor-related supply chains
- High-level understanding of production flows used in chip manufacturing
- Typical bottlenecks and long lead-time considerations in advanced manufacturing
- How supply chain analysis applies to specialized, high-value manufacturing environments
Applied examples may include:
- Modeling inventory strategies for high-value components
- Exploring long-lead manufacturing cycle considerations
- Mapping simplified supplier tiers to identify risk
- Scenario-based decision-making using semiconductor-themed examples
Who Qualifies
- 18 years or older
- Resident of Arizona or Texas (Semiconductor track)
- Household income of $60,000 or less
